Culiacan, the native place o f Miss Beltran Acosta of 2009 was brought up in Guamuchil after she was ten years old. Though she was greatly interested in the beauty queens of her young age she in fact never thought that she would ever reach the world of pageants. She competed in a local contest when she was just 14 and won the price too. After six years of it she did participate in Miss Earth Mexico and secured second place (Miss Air). And when Beltran reached 21 she represented her native place Sinaloa in 2008 for the national Nuestra Belleza Mexico contest held in Monterrey in which she became the second and it gained an entry into the 59th international Miss World pageant held in Johannesburg, South Africa 2009. Perla Beltran who won the Miss World Top Model fast track event and award also obtained the title of Miss World Americas and was placed second in the final competition of Miss World 2009. The only disappointment about her is that she mostly was the second in almost all the competitions participated. And the same repeated this year in South Africa Miss World competition too. The cute slim body of Perla Acosta helped a lot to be the first runner up Miss World 2009 in South Africa this year.
